I'm pretty busy with work on commission lately, among those postponed for several months,like this published and a lot of new and exciting requests. I am very excited and full of new energy, I hope to complete all (of course I had to put aside something, like home and housework, what a mess!) except my girls, they are still my main occupation and concern !

Anyway, I'm happy to be back "on track" after months of hibernation of creativity and I  hope for the best!

sofia bianka 1st day

... Suddenly, two weeks before the expected date, on the day  23.10.2011 at 23 :40h,the sister of Katy little Sofia Bianka is born! It was a water birth, spontaneous and quick, a great experience. The older sister is very happy and very gentle with her and  I still can not believe that is all happened so fast. Now we're getting to know better each other, but  she already seems to me a treasure of a child. :)

Probably this will be my last work before the birth of my second baby girl, even though I have yet to finish at least one commissioned illustration and unfortunately many others I have to leave for the "after",hoping that my new little girl gives me a bit of free time between one feeding and the other!
Here I attach the photos of the paper dolls of my child of 4 years old (very soon),lately  she wants to do everything what I do (you will find an example in the post of "Tea for Two") and it's really fun to work together ,each one on proper table, as in an art studio!
Maybe I'll see you  once more before  the "D-day", if not, a big hug to everybody and  hope  to see you soon!

Probabilmente questo sarà  il mio ultimo lavoretto prima del parto,anche se ho da finire ancora almeno un illustrazione  commissionata e purtroppo molte altre le devo lasciare per "dopo",sperando che la mia nuova bimba mi regala un po di tempo libero tra una poppata e l'altra!
Qui vi allego anche le foto delle bamboline di carta della mia bimba di 4 anni (fra pochissimo), ultimamente vuole fare tutto quello che faccio io (un esempio lo troverete anche nel post di "tea for two") ed è veramente piacevole lavorare insieme, ogni una al proprio tavolino,come in uno studio artistico!
Può darsi pure che ci vediamo ancora prima del D-day,se no,un grande abbraccio a tutti e a rivederci presto!

Quello che mi piacerebbe fare - What I'd like to do

Quello che mi piacerebbe fare è creare le bambole artistiche, pezzi unici,o come le chiamano "one of a kind doll"(One-of-a-kind bambole sono quasi sempre interamente progettati e realizzati a mano dall'artista).
Non so quando lo farò e se lo farò,visto che a malapena riesco a fare dei disegni per poco tempo che ho a disposizione,e non parliamone del arrivo della mia seconda bambina fra poche settimane,ma io comunque continuo a sognare che forse un giorno sarà possibile.
Per adesso mi sto informando sui libri e tutorial sulla creazione di una bambola del genere e sto scoprendo un mondo tutto nuovo e meraviglioso e divento sempre più appassionata.
Da bambina costruivo le bamboline con la pasta da modellare e stoffa(e naturalmente quelle di carta con tutti i vestitini creati da me)e sognavo di diventare costumista.E lo sono diventata e credo che questo mestiere si può benissimo sposare con questa mia "nuova" passione,anche perché qui non si tratta soltanto di creare la bambola,ma anche di fare un"styling" completo dalla testa ai piedi,(che comprende,trucco,parrucco, vestiti ed accessori).Meraviglioso,solo l'idea mi fa impazzire dalla voglia di farlo!
Staremo a vedere,naturalmente vi farò sapere appena riuscirò a fare qualcosa,però credo che prima aspetterò di partorire :)

What I'd like to do is create art dolls,unique pieces of art,or as they call them "one of a kind doll"(ooak)and I would do it  maby with polymer clay or with air dry clay.
I do not know when I will do it,and if I will do it,because I can barely make drawings for a short time I have available,and not talk about the arrival of my second child in a few weeks, but I still keep dreaming that maybe one day that will be possible.
For now I am informing about the books and tutorials on creating a doll like that and I am discovering a whole new and wonderful  world and I become more and more passionate.
As a child I created dolls with the modeling clay and fabric(and of course a lot of paper dolls with dresses created by me)and I dreamed of becoming costume designer.And I've become one and I believe that this craft can marry well with my "new" passion, because this is not only about a creating the doll,but also to make a "styling" from head to toe(including ,makeup,wigs,clothes and accessories).Wonderful,just the idea makes me mad with desire to do so!
We'll see,of course I'll let you know soon as I do something, but I think I'll wait to give birth first:)
